1年をかけてテーマに沿った手ぬぐいが、まるで旅をしているかのように12カ国を巡ります。
にじゆら目線でみる、その国々のおもしろい文化やユニークなモチーフを手ぬぐいのデザインにのせて。
私たちの世界旅行がはじまります。
「旅するにじゆら」、
どんな出会いが待っているでしょうか。
Over the course of a year our “Tenugui” in line with
the theme goes around the 12 countries as if traveling.
We put the intereting culture and unique motifs of
the countries on the design and our world trip starts.
“How do you travel?” What kind of encounters are waiting?
Summer
手ぬぐいは、湿度が高い日本の風土にあった昔からある布。
薄手の晒生地は汗を拭ったり、日よけにしたりと万能で、乾きも早く清潔に使えます。
そんな利点を大いに発揮できる国って、他にないかしら？
そんなことを思って目を向けると、日本と同じアジアに辿り着きました。
その中でも熱帯地域は特に手ぬぐいが活躍する土地ではないかと思い、
タイにベトナム、そしてモルディブを選びました。
暑い国だからこそ育まれてきた文化には、キャッチーで愛らしいものがたくさんあります。
Tenugui is an old cloth that was in a climate of high humidity in Japan.
A thin bleached fabric can be used for all purpose, wiping sweat and sunblind, drying quickly and cleanly.
Is there any other country where such advantages can be demonstrated ?
The answer is Asia same as Japan.
Among them, We thought that the Tenugui area is particularly active in the tropical areas,
We chose Vietnam, Maldives and Thailand.
There are lots of lovely cultures that have been nurtured because it is a hot country.
”紺碧の海 ” －Moldives－
いくつもの島からなるモルディブ。
紺碧色の海の世界は、きれいな熱帯魚が気持ちよく優雅に泳いでいる姿がありました。
その海の中の美しさを壮大に染めた手ぬぐいは、光が当たる部分と深海との
コントラストが見ごたえのある仕上がりになりました。

In the azure sea world, there was a beautiful tropical fish feeling swaying elegantly comfortably.
The Tenugui which dyed the beauty in the sea grandly is the part of the deep sea
The contrast looks impressive.
”lotus” －Vietnam－
ベトナムの国花である蓮の花が、淡い水色の湖に浮かぶ様はまるで
モネの睡蓮を彷彿とさせます。初夏に見頃を迎える蓮が湖一面に咲きほこる様子には
自然界の奥深さを感じさせられます。
そんな染めができたならどんなにきれいなんだろう・・そんな想いで染め上げた１枚です。

We feel the depth of nature.
I wonder how beautiful this dyed could be ・ ・ ・ It is one piece dyed with such thought.
” 水上マーケット” －Thailand－
タイと言えば、水上マーケット。
いろいろなフルーツ、ごはんもの、お花など小舟で売り買いが行われています。
色鮮やかなものをたくさんのせた小舟は見ているだけでも心躍ります。
水上マーケットを上から見たところを手ぬぐいにしました。
飾っても、使っても楽しい１枚です。
Speaking of Thailand, the water market.
Selling and purchasing is done in various small fruits, rice items, flowers and small boats.
Just watching a small boat ride with plenty of colorful things makes me excited.
We designed the Tenugui overlooking the floating market from the top.
It is one fun to decorate or use.
